Boxy Blocking Outpost Design
This outpost design I was not sure about while I was creating it and at first glance may not look very good. With the NEC being very open the Monster Bunkers are just about impossible to bait. With the exception of a small part of the housing everything in the NEC is in range of at least one defensive tower. Tower coverage is amazing, once attacking monsters begin taking damage they will be taking damage from several different sources. One drawback with this design is that there are places that a Catapult could hit easily and take out a good deal of defenses without damaging resource gatherers. This is often the price paid for great tower coverage. From my experience it is rare to see catapulting used when someone is coming for your outposts, this is not to say it does not happen, but the more resources used in catapulting the less a player will have remaining to take over an empire. There are very few traps placed in this outpost currently, because it does not rely on pathing I suggest placing your traps along entrances to the main box. Placing traps inside the NEC may also be a good idea as attackers will eventually have to travel the NEC in order to take over the outpost. The few traps that I have near the Tesla Towers are in a very good location. Clicking an image will open a larger version that may be easier to review and copy if desired.
